Eric Clapton - Crosscut Saw (Money & Cigarettes)
by R. G. Ford
I'm a crosscut saw,
Baby, drag me across your log.
I'm a crosscut saw,
Baby, drag me across your log.
I cut your wood so easy for you,
You can't help but say, "Hot Dog!"
Some call me Woodcutting Sam,
Some call me Woodcutting Jim.
The last girl I cut wood for,
She wants me back again.
I'm a crosscut saw,
Baby, drag me across your log.
I cut your wood so easy for you,
You can't help but say, "Hot Dog!"
I got a double-bladed axe
That really cuts good.
Well, I'm a crosscut saw,
Gonna bury me in your wood.
I'm a crosscut saw,
Baby, drag me across your log.
I cut your wood so easy for you,
You can't help but say, "Hot Dog!"

It would be great if you could help me out

Definitely something with good, old fashioned humbuckers. Which for Clapton probably means a 335 or (maybe) a Les Paul. Can't mistake that sweet Gibson sound.

There are two ways: you know something about what guitars the artist plays, and you're familiar in your own playing with the diff between single coil pickups (strat) and humbuckers (Les Paul, SG).

Bobby wrote this about Reelfoot Lake, near Memphis where he grew up. They also call it Snake Lake due to the water moccasins.

Brownie on the follow-up to Layla. Also on the Crossroads boxed set. Fantastic ripping, as usual, from the master...
